PLAY PETANQUE (BOULES)
At Puebla Aida we have our own Pitch situated at the rear of the
Castle This has been recently built for all to enjoy! The game is
simple and fun, and gives you the opportunity of meeting a great
number of new friends
Basic rules: Teams of three. Play two balls each. Single Players
play three balls. The jack is thrown and one player from each team
throws a ball.
The one with the nearest ball then makes the other team continue
throwing until they either win the nearest ball or all of their
balls are gone.
Scoring: The closest ball wins and also scores 1 point for each of
the nearest balls if they are on their team. If the other balls
belong to the opponents then only one point is scored. The other
team scores nothing if their ball is not the closest. Play continue
up to 13 points. Max of 4 points can be scored at any one time.
Single game concept is the same. |

SIERRA NEVADA
Just a mere 2 hour easy and beautiful drive away
from Mijas golf is the most southern ski resort in
Europe,” the Sierra Nevada” boasting mainland
Spain’s highest mountains at 3200 mts,
Great skiing for beginners and intermediates and
easily accessible for one day’s skiing but
recommended for a short stay of 2 to 3 days as the
resort is just above the stunning city of Granada
with the world famous
Alambra Palace [ the most visited site in Spain ] .
With its many tapas bars and old Arabic quarter, it
makes it an ideal base to explore the city and the
sierra Nevada, although there are many reasonable
priced hotels in and close to the ski village
itself.
We are a ski family ourselves and often go just for
one days skiing as it is so well organized [
parking, lift passes etc ] that you can leave home
at 9am be on the slopes at 11 am finish at 5.30 pm
an apre ski drink for an hour and then be home for
8.30 pm, never any queue’s during the week but can
get busy at weekends |
