SELWO SAFARI PARK
Just of the A7, close to Estepona lies one of the world’s most unique nature parks, the park is based on the African safari park idea and houses 2000 animals in semi-wild conditions.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. There are ample places to eat and drink. Some of the park is accessed by all-terrain vehicles, be prepared for a good walk and it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
The journey begins in the botanical gardens, you will see a wide variety of plants, some of which are quite rare. One of the most unusual walks is through bird canyon, the bird fly freely as though in the wild.
The safari trucks take you on two routes, where you will have the pleasure of seeing the bears, lions and tigers among many other animals. This is a spectacular day out, on a clear day you can see Morocco and Gibraltar from the park.
Telephone: 952 792 150 Address: Carretera A7 Km. 162.5 Las Lomas Del Monte. 29680 Estepona.
SEA LIFE
Fancy diving beneath the sea without getting wet? Coming eyeball to eyeball with everything from shrimps to sharks and learn tons of stuff from Sea Life experts?
Marvel at a bewildering array of jellyfish from the world's oceans. With their primitive anatomy and truly bizarre lifecycle, there are few animals more intriguing than these. As you will discover...they can also be hauntingly beautiful.
Enjoy an unforgettable experience for the whole family as you explore the wonderful sea creatures of the marine world, discover the kingdom of the seahorses and enjoy our colourful tropical fish.
Enjoy the biggest collection of sharks in Europe and come face to face with more than 20 species of sharks from around the world.
Feed the sea rays and stroke them from the natural habitat. The Sea life centre is situated in the heart of Benalmadena port, so it is ideal for an afternoon out, as the port itself is worth the visit. Open daily from 10.00am
