FUENGIROLA ZOO
The spectacular Fuengirola Zoo is set amidst tropical forests of
Madagascan Equatorial Africa and south-east Asia designed to
replicate the natural habitat of each and everyone of the animal
species living there. This is the most modern Zoo in Spain . Large
areas have been created in which water and vegetation are plentiful
– rivers, gigantic trees, waterfalls, bamboo-shrouded temples,
hanging bridges and abandoned mines.
Most people that have visited the Zoo have returned to enjoy the
experience again. It is a beautiful Zoo, and a pleasure to walk
round and see the animals so well kept and happy in there natural
settings. The Zoo is positioned in the centre of the town of
Fuengirola only a few minutes walk from the bus terminal and train
station. Open from 10.00h to midnight during July and August, giving
a chance to see nocturnal animals by moonlight. Otherwise open from
10.00h to sunset.

If you are going to visit a water park this is
the one to go to! It is a good day out for all the
family and has large grass area with plenty of shade
and umbrellas.
The rides at this park are far superior to Parquet
Aquatico in Mijas.
Prices per adult 19.50 euros and children 14 euros.
It is advisable to take a cool box with a picnic and
drinks as the park can be quite costly.
Directions: Exit Main Gates and turn left. Continue
down to A7.
Head towards Malaga. When you join the three lane
carriage way, you will need to take the Torremolinos
turn off which is roughly three exits away.. Turn

The water park is on the right next door to the

BULL FIGHTING
The bull fights create a mixed view. If you are
interested in Spanish tradition and there is a
bullfight on at the Plaza de Toros in Mijas Pueblo,
you may well wish to check it out for yourselves.
I have been told it is one of the greatest shows on
earth, although I have never been myself. Be warned
there is blood and they do kill the bulls, so it is
not recommended for the light hearted.
Bulls fights are just as popular today as they have
ever been in Andalusia. Booking in advance is highly
recommended as the tickets sell very fast. |
